HotTug is the UK’s only hot tub experience.
Ever fancied cruising down London's famous canals in a hot tub whilst sipping on your favourite drink?
Well, HotTug, the worlds first floating hot tub has all the coziness a group of friends could ask for during this cold autumnal season. Seating 7 people this inventive way of traveling around London offers people a once in a lifetime opportunity.
You can choose from two locations, West India Quay in Canary Wharf and Islington, Regents canal.
The Islington experience offers sailors the chance sail along the tranquil Regents canal. This canal is lined with picturesque scenery and canal boats - be warned, there will be a lot of passerby waving.
The Canary Wharf experience gives sailors the chance to take in the breathtaking skyscrapers whilst cruising across the dock in some warm bubbling water. Once your experience is complete you can find lots of bustling restaurants and bars in the surrounding area of Canary Wharf.
What can you expect?
The HotTug experience lasts for 75 minutes once you have been directed by a captain about the health and safety hazards. For each new group a fresh supply of water is refilled, so expect nothing less than clear, crisp water upon arrival.
The boats are self-driven, electric boats. The 38-degree fresh water is heated by wood burners.
There are two types of HotTug experiences on offer.
The Standard Experience: costs £255 for the entire HotTug. This would be £35 p/p if 7 people are in attendance.
The VIP Experience: offers lucky sailors some extra special treats, including a free sailors hat, a robe, and a towel to rent along with an ice bucket to keep your drinks extra cold.
It is a great experience to enjoy with friends, a date, stag & hen parties, or, simply a chance for you to experience London in a different way..
The founder: Stuart "Tommo" Thompson is the brainchild behind this genius idea. However, it was first invented by the Dutch. Canal boat owner Frank de Bruijn wanted to create a "swimming pool-like" feature to his floating home. Mr. Thompson was vacationing in Rotterdam when he saw the make-shift swimming pool created by Bruijn. He decided this was an idea that could be utilised in London all year round. HotTug was consequently launched in 2017 and has received rave reviews so get booking your unique experience now.
The 'Hot-Tug House' is situated at The Islington Boat club, however, you are encouraged to book online for both locations and experience types on offer.
HotTug has received 100% 5-star rating on Google Reviews.
